Description
FLEX Flat-head screws
Flat-head screws can be used to permanently attach the Back Strap to the inside of the boot. They are particularly useful if your horse has a narrow gait and tends to stride, which can cause the Back Straps to come loose if the standard ball-head screws are used.
If you fix the back strap with the flat-head screws instead and cut off the protruding strap beyond the rivet fastener, the strap will remain closed. Note, however, that the flat-head screws do not open quickly once they are in place (you will need a screwdriver to loosen them), so make sure the fit is right when you attach the flat-head screws.
