Use: If hoof boots are in continuous use, the moisture produced (horses sweat on their hooves) could lead to health problems such as thrush. The disinfecting, anti-inflammatory and caring properties of lanolin (wool grease) and the wool's ability to absorb moisture minimise this problem. However, you should change the wool inserts daily. It is therefore advisable to have a 2nd set of felt inserts ready. Even laminitis patients should benefit from the properties of lanolin (e.g. stimulating blood circulation, anti-inflammatory).
